SexySnippets

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there on this #SexySnippet Sunday. I hope you are all being given the royal treatment you deserve for all the hard, seriously under appreciated work you do. To my own mother, thank you for not killing me when I broke your favorite vase when I was ten. I seriously appreciate it, and hope you enjoy the little indulgence I sent your way. PS – you don’t actually have to share them with dad.

We are continuing with the C&M Security theme of the last few Sundays as we get closer to the release of C&M 6. I finished the last bits of editing I needed to do yesterday, and have submitted it back for the final look by the publisher. One step closer!

C&M Security 4 is the story of C&M’s hacker extraordinaire, Denise Franklyn and her connection to the smexy doctor that helped put Rhonda back together in book 3, MacKenzie Vaughn. Denise and Mack have known one another for years, ever since the moment her parents moved them in next door to the Vaughn’s. They know pretty much everything there is to know about a person, and yet there is still one, or two important pieces neither has revealed. This weeks #SexySnippet deals with the first – the overwhelming physical attraction that they all too carefully avoided for years…

In and out he slid, his hand flexing on her hip each time he thrust into her body. “Mine,” he said biting at her chin. “Too long I’ve waited, but you’re mine now.”

“Always,” she agreed easily. “I’ve always been yours. Oh! There, right there, harder,” she panted out. Clawing at his back, Denise dropped her hand to his ass and took hold.

dangerous-circumstancesDenise Franklyn has known Mackenzie Vaughn since she was a little girl. He’s been her best friend through all the good, and bad. For a time they drifted apart, but when trouble comes knocking on his door she’s there for him.

Mackenzie Vaughn’s career as a surgeon involves lots of tension, and rapid decision making. When someone kills his boss after a confrontation, Mack quickly becomes the prime suspect. Thankfully Denise is by his side as his name is cleared.

But the bodies keep dropping. All are individuals that are linked to Mack. As the FBI are called in all Mack can do, and hope for, is to keep Denise safe from what’s quickly becoming some very dangerous circumstances.

Windy Wednesday

Young Cute Man Taking Shower In BathroomHappy Hump Day everyone. As the title suggests, we had ourselves a very breezy day here in the city. But that’s not all I have to share – it was generally a very weird day. It likely has everything to do with the sleep that I didn’t get last night, but I had the damnedest time trying to remember what day it was. On top of that the weirdo count went through the roof at work. No, not just talking about my co-workers – we don’t count them since they are there every day – I mean the other weirdos. The ones that wander in off the street, or call with no clear reason as to why they are calling. It’s like they want to “chat” or some silly thing. I don’t have time for “chatting” during the day. I barely have time for what I have to get done during the day.

But it is over, thank goodness. Now I can spend my evening relaxing, watching some TV, and working on my second round of edits for Dangerous Reactions, C&M Security 6. I actually have the majority done but my editor found a couple other issues that I need to clean up. Nothing major thankfully, but they are making me think. Not a good plan for tonight so I may need to wait until the brain is functioning better. I’d really hate to write myself into an even worse corner my editor has to get me out of, lol!

What else is there to talk about? Oh, yes! Coming May 21, 2015 (that’s a Thursday if you were wondering) Evernight Publishing is having a Facebook Event – Summer’s Kick-Off Event to be exact. If you’re interested in joining feel free. There will be lots of authors, lots of prizes, and who knows what mayhem might ensue. You can join by clicking here – this will take you to the Facebook Event page, and click the “join” button.

Well that’s it for now. I may, or may not have more news later – but for now I must remain quiet. I know, I’m evil even mentioning it, but that is life. Until later everyone ~ Moira

SexySnippets

Happy Sunday everyone, and welcome to another edition of #SexySnippets. Another weekend is drawing to a close much too soon. If there is ever a vote to add another day in for the weekend I plan on being first in line. If nothing else it would give me much more time to write. So it’s a win-win in my eyes, lol!

Continuing with my C&M Security theme of #SexySnippets Sunday we are stepping into book 3 of the series this week. It features Vincent Bradley – tech guy, and all round prankster of C&M – and Rhonda Delacour – SFPD Detective, and Tamara’s (from book 1) best friend. These two characters met in book 1 of the series, but didn’t really like one another all that much. To say there was friction between them would be an understatement.

All this changes when they really start to get to know one another. By the time their book comes out they are shifting to something more. Then Rhonda gets in over her head, and Vincent pulls her out. He’ll do whatever is necessary to keep her safe while they figure out what went horribly wrong with her undercover assignment. After everything is finally sorted out, and they have a moment to themselves, things really begin to heat up between these two. This is only the beginning of that five alarm blaze…

With a glance at his face, she slid her tongue over his cock. He frowned a little deeper, but didn’t wake up. Well, one part of him did, but not the rest of him.

A feeling of glee washed over her as she licked his cock again. It was hardening, straightening out, getting impressively larger. Then, because she wanted his full attention, she took his cock into her mouth and sucked hard.

It definitely got his full attention, and he woke with a foul curse on his lips that quickly turned to a groan.

dangerous-linesRhonda Delacour hadn’t always been the biggest fan of Vincent’s, but he grew on her. So when she has an undercover assignment for the SFPD, and is in need of backup, there’s only one person she wants at her back. And when everything goes sideways fast, Ro truly comes to appreciate the man behind the badge.

For a while Vincent Bradley considered Rhonda nothing more than a pest he had to tolerate. How quickly things change when they spend time together. Only realizing the depth of his feelings for her when her life is on the line, Vincent will do anything, kill anyone to keep Ro safe.

Hidden away to keep her safe, Vincent knows it’s the perfect opportunity to show Rhonda how much he cares for her. Unfortunately they can’t remain hidden forever. To have the future they both want they’ll need to cross some dangerous lines.

Hello again Friday

WeekendHow is it that the week takes so long to be over, and yet a weekend goes by in the blink of an eye? Really doesn’t seem fair that the worst portion is so dragged out. But another one has finally bit the dust, and the weekend is before us once more. Not entirely sure what I will get up to, but there will be writing.

My current WIP is going well. I’m at the point of starting to wind it down but still need to have something crop up to push into, and follow through to the next planned book. While I have these loosely planned out I’m also letting the characters pull the story where it needs to go since they’d only steamroller me if I didn’t. They can be quite pushy when they want to be.

Other news is that I’m waiting on second round of edits for C&M Security 6, Dangerous Reactions. Quite excited to get this book out and into the hands of my readers. As it’s the last one in the series, at least for the moment, I know they’ve been waiting a while for it to arrive. It’s also a huge closure book for one particular plot line that’s been running through a couple of the books to this point. It’s other task is to answer more questions about the series by giving a look back before C&M was set up, and uncovering the mystery that is Robyn Matthews – the “M” in C&M Security. Hopefully it’s a hit with everyone that’s read the series up to this point. Fingers crossed!

What else is there to share? Oh, yes. I have another story coming out in an anthology. It will be my first paranormal story, and was a blast to write. Date of release isn’t yet decided as they are still accepting submissions to it so you’ll have to wait on news about that until toward the end of May. Best guess is an August release based on how the last one worked once the date of cut off came around. But it is a rough guess only.

Well I think that might be it. I am off to finish laundry, and then get some rest. Tomorrow will be a day full of writing. Have a fantastic weekend ~ Moira

#SexySnippets 7, Dangerous Secrets #romance #mf #suspense

SexySnippets

Happy #SexySnippets Sunday everyone. The weather took a bit of a turn this weekend providing me the perfect excuse (like I needed one) to stay inside and write! Still working on my new WIP. The muse has been behaving herself, thank goodness. It’s always so hard to work with her when she goes out partying, binging, and staying out to all hours. But this week she’s given me some good stuff so I may let her loose for a couple hours soon.

This week we are heading into C&M Security 2, Dangerous Secrets. It features Trent McDonald, a bodyguard for C&M, and his soon to be love interest Mallory Thompson, a chef of fine cuisine. They meet when Trent gets hired by Mallory to keep her alive. She’s been attacked, nearly killed, and isn’t about to take any chances someone might try again. What no one will believe is who is behind it all.

While they may have been strangers when they first met in their roles as boyfriend, and girlfriend, things quickly heat up between these two when they start sharing rather cozy quarters. When they finally admit what they are feeling…

She wanted him, needed him and was desperate for him. Fisting her fingers in his short hair, she pressed closer.

He drew her in even tighter to his body. The ridge of his hard cock pressed to the seam of her jeans with the perfect amount of friction. Rocking her hips slightly, she let out a moan that perfectly melded with the groan he let loose.

“Mallory,” he said as they parted, both sucking in air. He thrust his hands into her hair and held her still as he stared into her eyes.

dangerous-secretsAfter a harrowing attack she barely survived, Mallory Thompson knows she needs help. The police can only do so much without a description of her attacker. On the advice of a detective she turns to C&M Security in the hopes of getting some protection while the police hunt for the man who shot her.

Trent McDonald, ex-Marine and bodyguard at C&M Security, can’t believe the case his boss hands him. Rather, he can’t believe the woman he’s being asked to protect. Mallory is stunning, amazing, and he knows the instant he sees her picture he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

What neither of them expected was just who was behind the attack on her. In this game of life, or death, everyone seems to have dangerous secrets.

Getting into the groove…

Variety of cups of coffee with smoke on wooden backgroundThank goodness it’s Saturday! Woohoo! I have coffee in hand, my WIP is loading up, and the muse is doing her stretches in preparation for the day. I figured I’d start with a little writing before I got into the more stressful task of doing my taxes. I know that’s one hell of an efficient way to kill the muses groove. So that will be later. Besides I probably should be fully awake before attempting it.

Next year I’m saying to hell with it and getting an accountant. Unless of course it’s to the eleventh hour, and I forgot about looking for one prior to deadline. Which is entirely possible. Despite what most people believe I do on occasion forget things, I am not infallible. It’s why I have lists that have lists.

Anyway, before I get into my writing for the day I thought I’d also announce on here that I have another story that has been accepted for an Anthology. I’m very happy, and thrilled. It will also be my very first published Paranormal story. It’s called Drakon’s Prize, and I must admit I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out. I rather like my bad ass Dragon Alpha character. Hopefully so too will everyone else – hint, hint. Look for a page to come in the next couple of months on my site as we get some more information about it from Evernight Publishing.

In other news I also have the first round of edits for Dangerous Reactions, C&M Security book 6. I haven’t gone through all the notes yet, but it doesn’t look too bad. I also have myself a new editor. I hope someone warned her about my comma addiction so she wasn’t shocked. Though I will freely admit I did go through this one before submitting it to really look at my comma problem and eliminate them where I could. I never get them all of course, this is why I have an editor after all, because what I think needs a comma doesn’t always actually need one apparently. I can only hope they get paid well for putting up with my issues. LOL!

All right, I do believe that is it for today. Looks like I need a refill already, this may be a two pot day after all so I am off to get more coffee, and then get down to business. Hope you all have a terrific weekend, and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for another #SexySnippet Sunday. ~ Moira

#SexySnippets 6, Dangerous Times #romance #mf #suspense

SexySnippets

Welcome to another edition of #SexySnippets on my site. I hope everyone is having a terrific weekend. I definitely am. I’ve been working on something new that I’m hoping to have ready soon to submit. Fingers crossed my muse doesn’t take a detour into one of my other WIP’s. Yes, she does have that annoying tendency. She has me working on two very different stories right now, and she’s like a kid all hyped up with not knowing where to focus until exhaustion hits.

This week I thought I’d start a look back at the books of my C&M Security series. Given I will have the new one out sometime in May (date TBD) 2015 I thought, why not? So here’s what’s up today. Dangerous Times is the first book of the series which features Shawn Camden (the “C” in C&M) and a woman he met all too briefly, but never forgot Tamara Phillips. Tamara feels the same for Shawn, if only the circumstances of finding him again were better.

The trouble she’s in though in no way puts a damper on the heat that burns between them. Even a kiss gets taken to a whole new level when these two make contact…

When his hands landed on her ass, she moaned into his mouth. The answering squeeze on her ass had her rocking back into the hold and then forward against his cock. His very hard and prominent cock.

Shuddering, she fisted his hair and whimpered quietly. She wanted more, right then, and to hell with where they were. Tightening her hold on his shoulders, she hopped up. And, just as she’d known he would, he caught her and let her wrap her legs around his waist.

dangerous-times2Three years ago Tamara Phillips met a man who, quite possibly, could rock her very world. Then tragedy strikes and Tamara very nearly loses her life. Forced to hide while testifying she knows she has lost the very best thing to ever happen to her. Fate though has other plans for her.

As co-owner of C&M Security, Shawn Camden has a great life, amazing friends, and interesting work. Yet something is missing. He knows just what it is, or rather who it is, but has sworn to himself to not go looking for her—until she walks in his front door.

Tamara’s nightmare is about to come full circle with the release of her ex-boyfriend from jail. Getting some security is the smart thing to do for a woman occasionally in the public eye. The fact that her protector is Shawn makes it all the sweeter.

Sharing some inspiration

Saturday word in mixed vintage metal type

Happy Saturday to everyone. I have been busy writing up a storm and realized it was lunch suddenly. Mainly because my belly started to make those very rude sounds to gain my attention. Figured while I’m waiting for my lunch to heat up I’d share a little of my inspiration for what I’m writing today. And I threw a few others in just for kicks since I had them to share, so enjoy.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I can’t say what I’m writing yet, mainly because I’m still in the middle of it, and don’t want to jinx it. Yes I’m a little superstitious about such things. At least until I know it’s done, and hopefully (fingers crossed) accepted by my publisher. Then I’ll be telling you all about it. In the meantime I will share this much: it has some damn hot men in it.

Thus the bit of inspiration I needed to keep on track for the portion I was writing this morning. I was turning the heat up on the characters involved with one another. For a time now they’ve been dancing around each other, one character completely avoiding the other as much as was possible. With a little help things are about to change. Should be great!

Anyway I’m off to eat, and then back to more writing. Have a lovely day ~ Moira

The week is finally over

loadingSo happy to say it’s over. It was much too long, thankfully my co-worker will be back next week to take off some of the stress. I’ve also made the decision she is never, ever allowed to go away again. Ever. I doubt it will fly with anyone, but damn it! LOL!

The sun is beginning to set as I contemplate what to work on tonight writing wise. With all my household chores done, thank you very much, I won’t have anything to distract me this weekend. So writing is on the agenda. I have numerous stories in semi-stages of completion that I really need to get on. Some closer than others to being completed, others in their infancy. If only my muse would focus.

I have a new series planned, won’t say much on it since I’m still working on the back stories of the characters, and a lot of the other stuff makes an author’s head spin like the girl in the Exorcist. It’s definitely making mine attempt it from time to time. But such is the life we have chosen to bring the voices in our heads out into the public eye.

I think that’s it for tonight. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Sleep late, be a little lazy, and enjoy it. ~ Moira

#SexySnippets 5 from C&M Security 6 #romance #mf #suspense

SexySnippets

Happy #SexySnippets Sunday everyone. It’s been a pretty decent weekend so far, a little breezy, but the sun is shining so no complaints from me. As long as it looks like Spring I’m a happy camper.

This weeks 7 sentences will be the last from the C&M Security 6 book. It took me a while to decide just what I wanted to show, but I figured I needed something to send the #SexySnippets for this book out with a bang. Something that would catch a readers eye, and interest enough to want to buy the book when it comes out. May 2015, date TBD by the way. Next week will be from something else entirely, so I hope you enjoy the below, and here’s a little lead up to help you figure out what’s going on.

Grant, the hero of the story, has a stalker after him. Nothing too big to begin with, but annoying, and the individual is definitely a pest. But soon enough the stalker takes things to the next level. Robyn, our heroine, is not happy with the “progress” so far achieved by the police in locating, and stopping this individual. But she does tend to take anything against her man very personal. And here we go…

* * * * *

Numbly Grant stuck a hand out to shake the other man’s, “Any idea who did this?”

“Definitely wasn’t a professional torch, this was purely amateur hour. Good for us on all fronts, the amateurs are more likely to make mistakes unlike the pro’s, or serials. Once my guys finish up we’ll take everything back, and get the lab working on whatever they find. I won’t lie Mr. Sherbrooke, unless you catch an arsonist in the act, it’s damn hard to catch them unless they start to unravel.”

“Do you think it’s the same person who’s sent the other threats to date?” Robyn asked him.

Shawn introduced her to the detective when the man shot her a curious look.
